ENGINE RE-MAPPING

Engine Re-Mapping is a change within a vehicle’s electronic control unit (ECU). We modify the operating parameters within the code (or ‘map’) to increase the vehicle’s performance and/or economy, without the need to change or add any hardware. Remapping your car or van with one of our custom ECU remaps can improve both torque and BHP, resulting in improved power, response and performance.
The engine's in all modern vehicles are controlled electronically by an ECU, which constantly processes information received from a multitude of sensors. These processes, the engine’s fuelling, ignition timing, boost if applicable, torque values, etc, are all calibrated within the ECU code based on the conditions in which the vehicle is being used, its altitude, the quality of the fuel in its tank, etc. Together with the sensor information the relevant tables, or ‘maps’, are used to keep the engine running at optimal performance.
